ImaBridge Africa works solely with volunteers. None of those working within this not for profit organization is compensated for their contributions. We are always looking for others to help us, as Mother Teresa said, "To do small things with great love."
There are different opportunities for volunteering with ImaBridge Africa. You can serve as a Board Member, Team Member, Special Events Volunteers, Mission Trip Volunteers, etc.
Board and/or Team Members: Attend monthly meetings. Usually held the third Sunday of the month at 12:15PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in McHenry - 3500 Washington Street or you may join us via ZOOM. Board members are elected at our November (Annual Meeting) and may serve 3 consecutive 2 year terms. Board members elect the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer at the Annual Meeting
Special Event Volunteers: Help as needed for our annual Golf Tournament, Taste of Nigeria Event, Annual Gala and as other needs arise. No committment to monthly meetings.
Mission Trip Volunteers: Travel to Nigeria after Christmas for our Annual Medical Missions Trip. Usually leave one-two days after Christmas and return to the US mid January. Travel dates can be adjusted if one cannot travel for the whole time. While we work hard while we are in Nigeria - 4-6 Medical Missions where we see upto 600 people a day, we also have a lot of fun - site seeing in Nigera, visiting the beach (Atlantic Ocean), visiting with friends of ImaBridge Africa and enjoying the warmth of the Nigerian people along with the fabulous food.
